Deleting your account
Updated on 2026-07-16
You can permanently delete your hi.fitness account at any time, from the website or from the app. Deletion removes your account and your data, and it can't be undone.
Where to find it
- On the website: open Settings and scroll to the bottom, to Delete account.
- In the app: open More, then Settings, then Delete account.
Both work the same way and follow the same rules.
Delete your account
- Open Delete account on whichever one you're using.
- If your account has a password, enter it so we know it's you. If it doesn't, there's nothing to enter.
- Confirm. We ask once more before anything is removed - on the website in a dialog, in the app in a final alert.
- We sign you out, and your account is gone.
There's no undo, so only do this if you're sure.
Do I need to enter a password?
Only if your account has one:
- Signed up with an email and password? You have one. Enter the password you sign in with.
- Signed up with Google or Apple? You never set a password, so there's nothing to confirm and deletion happens straight away. This isn't a Google thing or an Apple thing - it's simply that these accounts have no password.
- Started with Google or Apple, then set a password later (with Forgot password?, for example)? From then on your account has one, so we'll ask for it.
What gets removed
Your account, profile and the data tied to it are permanently deleted. You're signed out immediately and won't be able to sign back in.
If you're a trainer
Deleting your trainer account does not delete your clients. Each client keeps their own account and the plans you assigned them - they simply no longer have you as their trainer, and their check-ins go back to the standard hi.fitness ones. Your own coaching content (templates, notes) is removed.
Troubleshooting
- "That password is incorrect." - that's the password you sign in with. Forgot it? You can't reset it once you've started deleting - leave this screen, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page, then come back.
- "Couldn't load your account details." - the app checks whether your account has a password before it shows you anything, and that check didn't get through. Check your connection and open the screen again.
- Changed your mind? - close the dialog, or tap Cancel in the app. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
