Sample data
Updated on 2026-07-31
When you create your account, hi.fitness fills it with realistic sample data so you land on a complete dashboard instead of empty screens. It is there to help you find your way around - explore it, click through it, and remove it whenever you are ready to start for real.
While we set it up
Right after you sign up, both the website and the app show a Setting up your account screen while we build your example data. It only takes a few seconds and clears itself - you don't have to do anything. If it ever takes unusually long, a button appears that lets you continue anyway.
What's included
Your new account comes with a full example setup:
- A training program taken straight from the hi.fitness plan library, plus about six months of logged workout history that follows it - the same sessions, the same exercises.
- A nutrition plan with meals and daily targets, plus a few recent days in your food diary.
- Check-ins and body-progress reports going back about six months.
- A tracked habit set with several weeks of daily logs.
- A personal record timeline and activity points.
- A chat thread so you can see how messaging works.
If you signed up to track your own training, you also get an example coach linked to you, with a chat thread between you.
If you signed up as a trainer, you get your own training history and a roster of about ten example clients, so your client list and inbox are populated. A few of them come with a full program, history and chat thread; the rest stand in for newer and quieter clients, so your Today's priorities queue has something real to show you.
The example accounts use addresses ending in @hifitness.test and never receive email.
Everything arrives in your account's language - plan and workout names, meals, habits and the example chat all follow the language you chose when you signed up.
Removing the sample data
Both the website and the app show a reminder that you are looking at sample data, and both remove it the same way.
On the website, a banner sits across the top of your dashboard:
- Click Remove sample data in the banner.
- Confirm.
In the app, a floating amber pill sits on top of your screens. You can drag it around and park it against either edge, so it never sits on something you need:
- Tap the pill to open a panel that explains what the sample data is.
- Tap Remove sample data.
- Confirm.
Either way, this permanently deletes the example workouts, nutrition, check-ins, history, and messages, along with the example accounts created with them. It cannot be undone, and your own account stays exactly as it is - only the sample data is removed. Once it is gone, the banner and the pill disappear, and your account is a clean slate, ready for your real training.
