Sharing usage data
Updated on 2026-09-26
We want the hi.fitness app to be simple and pleasant to use. To see what works well and what we should make better, the app asks if it can collect information about how you use it. The choice is entirely yours, and this page explains what it means.
When the app asks
Right after you sign in, the app asks: Help us improve hi.fitness. Choose Allow or No, thanks. Learn more opens this page.
If you were already signed in, you see the question once after updating the app.
If you choose No, thanks, the app may ask again after about six months, and if you choose Allow, it will not ask again.
Nothing is collected until you agree, and nothing is collected while you are signed out. Whichever answer you give, everything else in the app stays the same.
What we collect
- Which screens you open, and where you tap and scroll.
- A replay of how you moved through the screens, with all text and photos hidden.
- Your phone model, its system version and the app version.
- A rough location, such as your country or city, based on your internet connection.
What is never included
What you type, your photos and any text on the screen are never included.
The data is not linked to your name, your email address or your hi.fitness account, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who collects it
The data is collected for us by Microsoft Clarity, a Microsoft service. Microsoft handles it under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
How long it is kept
About 30 days, and then it is deleted. If we save a session to study a specific problem, we can keep it longer.
Change your answer
Open More → Settings, go to Privacy and turn Share usage data on or off.
Your answer is saved to your account, so it applies on every phone you sign in on. Another phone picks it up the next time you open the app there. If you change it while offline, it is sent as soon as you are back online.
Turning it off stops collection right away. Data already sent is not deleted, but it expires on its own.
