Execution

How to do it

  1. Stand in front of a low pulley cable machine with a bar attached and grab it with both hands using an overhand grip. Take a step back into a split stance with one foot forward and one foot behind.

  2. Hold the bar extended along the cable and keep your torso upright.

  3. Lower your body by bending both knees until your thigh is parallel to the floor. Push through your front heel to return to the starting position.

  4. Repeat for the desired repetitions.

Form tips

  • Keep your front knee aligned with your ankle throughout the movement.

  • Lower yourself slowly to avoid unnecessary strain on the knee joint.

  • Avoid locking out the knees at the top to keep muscles under tension.
