How to do it

  1. Lie on the leg press machine and straighten your left leg, placing your forefoot on the platform, while your heel hangs off the edge. Your right foot should be resting on the floor.

  2. Press through your forefoot to lift the platform upward by extending your ankle and squeezing your calf at the top of the movement.

  3. Slowly lower your heel back down to the starting position with control, ensuring you achieve a full range of motion.

  4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to the right leg.

Form tips

  • Keep your knee slightly bent to reduce strain on your joints.

  • Ensure your heel drops below the edge of the platform to achieve a full range of motion.

  • Maintain a steady pace to ensure consistent tension on the muscles.
