How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you.

  2. Bend your right knee and cross your right leg over your left thigh and lightly bend your left knee placing your left foot flat on the floor.

  3. Keeping your back straight, lower your chest towards your crossed leg, reaching your hands stright to the floor to deepen the stretch.

  4. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, feeling the stretch in your right glute. Slowly release and return to the starting position. Repeat on the left side.

Form tips

  • Maintain a straight back as you lower your chest to enhance the effectiveness of the stretch.

  • Move slowly and with control to prevent any sudden movements that could cause strain.

  • Ensure your bent knees remains stable and aligned with your body to avoid placing excess strain on the knee joints.
