Execution

How to do it

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.

  2. Raise your right arm overhead and bend your elbow, reaching your right hand down towards your upper back.

  3. Bring your left arm overhead and hold your right elbow with your left hand, gently pulling your right elbow to the left side to deepen the stretch. Hold this position for 15-30 seconds.

  4. Release the stretch and return to the starting position. Repeat on the left side by raising your left arm overhead and bending your elbow, using your right hand to assist with the stretch. Alternate sides for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Avoid arching your back; keep your spine neutral to maximize the stretch and prevent injury.

  • Keep your core engaged to maintain balance and support your lower back.

  • Use gentle pressure when pulling on your elbow to avoid overstretching and potential discomfort.
