How to do it
Sit on an exercise ball in a lunge position with your left foot flat on the floor in front of you and your right leg extended behind you, the ball supporting your hips.
Lower your hips downwards towards the floor, allowing the ball to support your weight and feeling a stretch in your right hip flexor.
Keep your torso upright and your core engaged as you hold the stretch.
Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, then switch legs and repeat on the other side.
Form tips
Move slowly into the stretch to prevent overextending or causing discomfort.
Breathe deeply and steadily, focusing on relaxing the hip flexor muscles.
Use a properly inflated exercise ball to provide adequate support for your hips.
