How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell with an overhand grip, hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Let the barbell hang at arm's length in front of your thighs.

  2. Curl the barbell upwards towards your shoulders by bending your elbows.

  3. Squeeze your forearms and biceps at the top of the movement, ensuring the barbell reaches shoulder height.

  4. Lower the barbell back to the starting position with control, fully extending your arms. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Keep your elbows close to your body and avoid swinging your arms to ensure proper form.

  • Perform the movement slowly and with control to maximize muscle engagement and prevent injury.

  • Ensure a firm grip on the barbell to maintain control and proper alignment.
