How to do it

  1. Lie chest-first on an incline bench set at a 45-degree angle, holding one handle of the resistance band in each hand with your arms hanging down and palms facing back. Ensure the resistance band is secured under the bench.

  2. Lift your arms diagonally in a "Y" shape until they are in line with your body, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.

  3. Lower your arms back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you lift your arms and inhale as you lower them back down.

  • Use a resistance band with appropriate tension to ensure you can perform the exercise with good form.

  • Maintain a slight bend in your elbows to protect your shoulder joints.
