Execution

How to do it

  1. Lie on your left side with your legs extended straight and stacked on top of each other. Rest your head on your left arm and place your right hand on your hips.

  2. Slowly lift your right leg straight up towards the ceiling, keeping it straight and in line with your body.

  3. Hold the top position for a moment, feeling the contraction in your outer thigh and hip.

  4. Slowly lower your leg back to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to your right side and perform the exercise with your left leg.

Form tips

  • Breathe steadily, exhaling as you lift your leg and inhaling as you lower it.

  • Ensure your leg stays straight and in line with your body throughout the movement.

  • Avoid using momentum to lift your leg; focus on using your hip and thigh muscles.
