How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with your legs extended straight up towards the ceiling and a loop resistance band around your ankles. Place your arms by your sides on the floor for stability.

  2. Engage your core and keep your legs straight and feet flexed.

  3. Open your legs wide apart against the resistance of the band, keeping your legs straight and maintaining control.

  4. Slowly bring your legs back together to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you open your legs and inhale as you bring them back together.

  • Maintain a steady pace to ensure consistent tension on the muscles.

  • Focus on engaging your hip abductors and glute muscles throughout the movement.
