Execution

How to do it

  1. Set an incline bench to a 45-degree angle and sit back against it, holding a dumbbell in each hand with your arms extended at your sides, palms facing each other.

  2. Shrug your shoulders upward, lifting the dumbbells towards your ears, without bending your elbows.

  3. Slowly lower your shoulders back to the starting position, maintaining control throughout the movement. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you shrug your shoulders upward and inhale as you lower them.

  • Focus on lifting your shoulders straight up and down, avoiding any circular or forward motion.

  • Use a slow and controlled motion to maximize muscle engagement and avoid swinging.
