How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands on your hips for balance.

  2. Shift your weight onto your left leg and slowly lift your right leg out to the side as high as you comfortably can, keeping it straight.

  3. Hold the raised leg for a second, and slowly lower your right leg back to the starting position with control.

  4. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch to your left leg.

Form tips

  • Focus on keeping your torso upright and avoid leaning to the side.

  • Keep your supporting leg slightly bent to maintain balance.

  • Start with a smaller range of motion and gradually increase it as your strength improves.
