How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs bent at a 90-degree angle and your feet flat on the floor. Place a loop resistance band around your thighs, just above your knees.

  2. Engage your core, lean slightly back, and place your hands on the floor behind you for support.

  3. Press your knees outward against the resistance of the band, spreading your legs as wide as possible while keeping your feet flat on the floor.

  4. Slowly bring your knees back together to the starting position with control. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you press your knees outward and inhale as you bring them back together.

  • Keep your feet flat on the floor and avoid lifting them off the floor.

  • Focus on engaging your hip abductors and glutes throughout the movement.
