How to do it

  1. Set an incline bench to a 45-degree angle and sit back against it, holding a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height with elbows bent and facing the floor, with an underhand grip (palms facing back).

  2. Press the dumbbells upward until your arms are fully extended above your chest, maintaining the underhand grip.

  3. Lower the dumbbells back to shoulder height with control, keeping your elbows close to your body. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form tips

  • Exhale as you press the dumbbells upward and inhale as you lower them.

  • Choose a weight that allows for proper form and control throughout the exercise.

  • Use a controlled motion, focusing on the muscles being worked.
