How to do it

  1. Stand facing a wall with your feet shoulder-width apart. Place your hands on the wall at shoulder height and shoulder-width apart.

  2. Step one foot back, keeping your back leg straight and your front leg slightly bent. Press your back heel into the floor.

  3. Lean forward slightly, pushing against the wall to deepen the stretch in your calf.

  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, then switch legs and repeat.

Form tips

  • Keep your back leg straight and your heel pressed into the floor to maximize the stretch.

  • Stretch both legs equally to maintain balanced flexibility.

  • Breathe deeply and steadily throughout the stretch to help relax your muscles.
