# Resetting your password

If you can't remember your password, you can reset it yourself - no need to contact support.

## Request a reset link

1. Go to the [sign-in page](/login).
2. Click **Forgot password?**.
3. Enter the email address for your account and click **Send reset link**.

For your security we always show the same confirmation - whether or not an account exists for that address, you'll see *"If an account with that email exists, we've sent a reset link."*

## Set a new password

1. Open the email and click **Reset password**.
2. On the page that opens, enter a new password (at least 10 characters) and confirm it.
3. Save it, then sign in with your new password.

The reset link is valid for **1 hour**. If it expires, just request a new one.

### Didn't get the email?

- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Make sure you used the address you signed up with.
- Only confirmed accounts can receive a reset link. If you never confirmed your email, [create your account](/register) again to get a fresh confirmation link.

## A note on security

Our sign-in, sign-up, and password forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which runs quietly in the background - there's nothing extra for you to click.
