# Message your clients

Open **Clients** in the sidebar, then the **Messages** tab. Your conversations are listed
on the left; pick a client to open the thread on the right. Unread conversations show a
count badge, and the unread total folds into the **Clients** badge.

## Send and attach

Type at the bottom and press Enter. Attach a photo or PDF with the paperclip, or record a
voice note with the microphone (press to record, **Stop & send** to deliver). Images send
an optimized preview; the full image opens on tap.

## Threads, reactions, edits

- Reply in a thread from the thread icon to keep a topic together without cluttering the
  main conversation.
- Add an emoji reaction from the smiley on any message.
- Edit or delete your own messages from the hover menu (deleted messages show as removed).

## Realtime

New messages arrive live. If the realtime connection drops, the conversation keeps polling
so nothing is missed. Drafts are saved automatically per conversation.

Access is limited to your active clients - only conversation participants can read messages
or open attachments.
