# Sign-in methods

Your account can have more than one way in. **Settings > Sign-in methods** shows all of them in one place: your password, and any Google or Apple account connected to hi.fitness.

Connecting a second one does not create a second account. Whichever button you press afterwards, you land in the same place, with the same training, the same meals and the same history.

## Connect Google or Apple

1. Open **Settings** and go to **Sign-in methods**.
2. Next to Google or Apple, select **Connect**.
3. Pick the account you want to use and approve the request.

That's it. The next time you sign in you can use either door.

A nice side effect: Apple never shares a profile picture, and Google does. If your account has no picture yet, connecting Google gives it one. A picture you uploaded yourself is never replaced.

## Disconnect one

Select **Disconnect** next to it and confirm. That sign-in stops working immediately, and nothing else about your account changes - your training, meals and history stay exactly as they are. You can connect it again at any time.

**You cannot disconnect your only way in.** If your account has no password and only one provider, hi.fitness keeps that one and tells you so, because removing it would lock you out with nothing left to reset. Set a password first (there is a row for it on the same screen), then it can go.

## The email addresses do not have to match

The address on your Google account, the one on your Apple account and the one on your hi.fitness account can all be different. hi.fitness shows the provider's address under each row so you can tell which account is connected, and nothing else depends on it.

This matters most with Apple's **Hide My Email**: it gives us a private relay address that looks like a random string. That is normal, and connecting it works exactly the same.

## In the app

Same place: **More > Settings > Sign-in methods**.

**Apple on Android:** Sign in with Apple does not exist on Android, so there is no Connect button there. If your account already has Apple connected (from an iPhone), the row still appears and you can disconnect it. To *add* Apple from an Android phone, use the website.

## Troubleshooting

- **"That Google account is already connected to a different hi.fitness account"** - you are signed in to one account and trying to connect a provider that belongs to another. Sign in with that provider to reach the other account, or disconnect it there first.
- **"Google is already connected to this account"** - a different Google account is connected here. Disconnect it first, then connect the one you want.
- **"Set a password first"** - this is your only way in. Use the **Password** row on the same screen, then come back.
