# Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your hi.fitness account at any time. Deletion removes your account and your data, and it can't be undone.

## Delete your account

1. Open **Settings**.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click **Delete account**.
3. Confirm in the dialog:
   - If you sign in with an **email and password**, enter your current password so we know it's you.
   - If you only sign in with **Google** (no password set), there's nothing to enter - deletion happens straight away.
4. Click **Delete account**. We sign you out and your account is gone.

There's no undo, so only do this if you're sure.

## What gets removed

Your account, profile and the data tied to it are permanently deleted. You're signed out immediately and won't be able to sign back in.

## If you're a trainer

Deleting your trainer account does **not** delete your clients. Each client keeps their own account and the plans you assigned them - they simply no longer have you as their trainer, and their check-ins go back to the standard hi.fitness ones. Your own coaching content (templates, notes) is removed.

## Troubleshooting

- **"That password is incorrect."** - that's the password you sign in with. Forgot it? You can't reset it once you've started deleting - cancel, use **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page, then come back.
- **Changed your mind?** - close the dialog. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
